This Christmas, rather than donating gifts such as toys and confectionery to patients and staff in our hospitals, please will you consider making a donation instead.
We know that each year some of our amazing supporters like to bring gifts for our staff and patients, particularly for children who spend time in Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital at Christmas. This year increased infection control measures and visiting restrictions posed by COVID-19, mean that unfortunately we are unable to accept gifts of this nature this festive season. So please will you consider making a donation to support our family of hospitals instead. You can choose to support any one of our individual hospitals, wards or departments – please just let us know when you make your donation. If you do not wish to specify, then we will use your gift wherever the need is greatest.
This year has been tough on all of us, especially our patients. The bravery they have shown in facing hospital treatment with fewer or no visitors, and less support from their families, has inspired us all. So please, show your support for patients in our hospitals this Christmas and all year round, by making a donation today. Big or small, your gift will help us to ensure that our patients – young and old – continue to receive the very best treatment in the very best facilities.
