Merry Christmas from Manchester City

For many years, the Manchester City squad has taken the time to visit patients and staff in Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital, the Starlight Unit at Wythenshawe Hospital, and the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Saint Mary’s to spread some Christmas cheer. The visit brings smiles to faces young and old and is always a welcome distraction for our young patients, and their families, who are sadly in hospital in the run up to Christmas. This year, just like last, COVID restrictions have meant that an in-person visit has not been possible and instead the Club have worked with us to support patients virtually by providing gifts and video messages.

On behalf of the Club, Manchester City Legend, Paul Dickov said:
‘This Christmas we want to celebrate the patients treated at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. Over the years Manchester City has had the privilege of meeting patients at the hospital and we are always inspired by their bravery and courage.
‘We’re sorry that we’re unable to visit the hospital this year, but everyone at Manchester City wishes the children, their families, the staff, and supporters of the Charity, a very merry Christmas.’
